Review of Four Seasons Sharm el Sheikh

Review of Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh Egypt, from 'anonymous' client

My husband and I went to the Four Seasons, Sharm El Sheikh for 5 nights at the end of January. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing, guaranteed sun holiday that was not too far from home.

The Four Seasons was exceptional in every way. It is only 10 minutes from the airport and with the recommendation of private transfers from Essential Escapes we had landed, picked up our luggage, gone through customs and we were at our hotel within 40 minutes!  The service levels at the hotel were top notch and no task was too much for any of the staff. The breakfast each morning (which was included in our price) was amazing, with several hot and cold stations to suit any taste.  Due to the exchange rate at the time, the food and wine we found to be very expensive for the rest of our meals. For lunch we loved to dine at the Reef Grill, which is situated at the resort, along the Red Sea, providing you with endless views of the gorgeous clear sea and Tiran Island. When it came to dinner we were always so excited to eat! The food is of exceptional quality (and quantity!). We were never disappointed or regretted our choices.

The grounds for the resort are immaculate and are filled with a plethora of flowers, creating luxurious, awe-inspiring walks where ever you go. They also have a funicular that runs from the main reception area to the beach, which was very handy for families using a pram, disabled guests, the elderly or those with bad knees and use a cane (like my husband!).  The beach is quite small, but is well looked after.  The ability to snorkel in the crystal clear Red Sea by just walking to the end of their jetty is remarkable.

We stayed in a Deluxe King Sea View room and it was very spacious, clean and I loved the L’Occitane products. The bed was extremely comfortable, as was the cotton robes and slippers. The room also boasts a large walk in closet, 4 piece bath, day bed, and small seating area. We also had a patio at the front of our room, where we listened to our iPod every night (connector in the room) and drank champagne before going to dinner. It was marvelous.

We booked a camel ride trip in the desert with the hotel which was very easy, safe and fun. Speaking of safety, I would like to point out that the hotel takes all precautions to ensure its guests are safe. Upon entering into the grounds of the hotel, each car must go through a check point and is screened by security and car mirrors. We also learned (and saw) that the Tourism Police check around the hotel often to reinforce safety.

Thanks to a wonderful seasonal promotion from Essential Escapes, my husband and I had a complimentary couple’s massage which was amazing. The spa at the Four Seasons is extremely clean, comfortable and professional.

We booked our holiday with Essential Escapes as we’ve previously booked our last holiday to the Maldives with them, and the service was and is exceptional. Thanks to Ann-Marie, her expertise was invaluable and we enjoyed another holiday immensely.
