Review of Evian Royal, France, from ‘anonymous’ client

I went to Evian Royal Palace with my boyfriend at the end of September. We were looking for a well-deserved, peaceful break and that’s exactly what we got. We could only get away for 3 nights so we wanted somewhere close to home. Evian was perfect as it only takes an hour to fly to Geneva and there are loads of flights available daily to choose from. We stayed in a Residence Room with a Lake View which was on the 5th floor. I would definitely recommend rooms on this floor as although these rooms don’t have balconies, you get the most amazing views of the lake!

The air at Evian is so fresh that you feel healthy just being there. The grounds are perfect for romantic walks and they even have their own organic vegetable garden. I had a really lovely facial at The Spa and because it was a bit chilly when we were there we decided to swim in the indoor pool which was nice and warm.

There is a complimentary shuttle that runs from The Resort into the town so we went for a little explore one night followed by dinner at The Casino. The Restaurants at the Hotel are quite pricey so it’s good to know that there are cheaper alternatives in the town. We would definitely think about going back again next year, and we have a baby on the way so we’d take her with us as they have a crèche which takes babies as young as 3 months.

We booked our break with Essential Escapes as we were recommended to use this company through a couple of friends who had been away with them before. They really know their stuff about spa breaks and would have no hesitation in recommending them ourselves as their advice was excellent.
