Accommodation
The resort is made up of rooms and suites within the main Citadel and suites within the villas which offer a bit more in the way of privacy. Citadel Double rooms are approximately 40-50m² and have a king-size bed or twin beds, individually controlled air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, mini-bar, pillow menu, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, a stylish bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower and a balcony or terrace with views of the citadel, pools or gardens. Rooms with an ocean view are available for a supplement.
Citadel Junior Suites are approximately 70m² with a lounge area and a king-size bed. You can choose to upgrade to a Junior Suite Ocean View for a small supplement.
Citadel Suites are approximately 80m² and have a separate bedroom with a king-size bed, a lounge with a dining table, a music system and a large balcony or terrace. Suites with an ocean view are available for a supplement.
Villa Abama Standard Double rooms measure approximately 50m² and have a king-size bed, bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower, and a balcony or terrace with garden views. These rooms offer greater privacy than those located in the Citadel. Villa Abama Suites measure approximately 80m² and have a separate lounge area.
New to Abama are the Tagor Villas which are perfect for spa guests given they are exclusive to adults only. This row of rooms and suites offer a host of additional benefits such as; buffet breakfast at the pool terrace, complimentary water, soft drinks and beer at the pool bar, snacks served in the pool area five times a day, tea making facilities in the room, personal butler available from 08:00 - 20:00 and the use of a complimentary buggy per room. You would also receive complimentary access to the VIP room at Tenerife South Airport.
Dining
Dining at Abama is a highly pleasurable experience with no less than ten options to choose from.
La Veranda is open for breakfast and has a very extensive buffet to choose from. M.B. Restaurant is open for dinner only (except Sunday) This Michelin star restaurant features Martín Berasategui's signature use of fresh ingredients from the Basque region. Situated in ABAMA's main Citadel facing the pool and Atlantic Ocean, it offers indoor and outdoor dining. Also open for dinner only is the highly acclaimed Kabuki which offers Japanese cuisine and is open for dinner only (except Monday). La Pampa is a traditional Argentinean grill restaurant open for dinner only as well as the next door Verona restaurant serving Italian cuisine. One of the team's personal favourites is El Mirador, open for lunch and dinner which has a stunning location on a cliff top overlooking the breathtaking Atlantic sea at views over La Gomera. Here you can enjoy fresh fish and seafood as well as a host of other local specialities.
Lunch options include Los Chozos for dining by the pool, the Abama Spa Cafe which serves Macrobiotic dishes and healthy plates to complement the treatments offered at the spa and Playa Abama located on the beach serving light meals and refreshments. Guests can also enjoy lunch at the Club House restaurant located down at the golf course
