Les Sources de Caudalie, France

Set among vines and woods in the heart of one of the best wine-making regions of Bordeaux, les Sources des Caudalie offers a truly unique concept in pampering. Here you will find the world’s first Vinotherapy Spa, where not only can you treat yourself to a glass of fine wine, you can then bathe in it. The decor and the comfort levels are magnificent. There are two gourmet restaurants, La Grand Vigne and the brasserie-style La Table du Lavoir. Overseeing both, the Head Chef is the proud owner of a Michelin star and his refined classics and healthy style of cooking is sure to please even the most critical gastronome. The wine list is impressive with 15,000 bottles in the château cellar. The cigar tasting club offers a panoramic view over the vineyards while the French Paradox bar enables guests to taste great wines and champagnes by the glass.

The spa

The spa is housed in a rustic building and you can gaze out at wonderful views of the Chateaux and the lake whilst enjoying treatments. The Vinotherapie Spa menu boasts treatments for relaxation, anti-ageing and slimming. The Caudalie products contain wine and grape seed oil, which is known to contain antioxidants that can help to slow down the ageing process, ease circulation problems and prevent heart disease. Some of the delights on the menu include Pulp Friction Massage, Honey and Wine Wrap and a Red Vine Bath! Th treatments uniquely combine the virtues of naturally warm spring water taken from a depth of 540 metres underground which is rich in minerals and oligo – elements with vine and grape extracts.

There is a thermal pool and hammam, an indoor and outdoor heated pool and a fitness centre.
