Jamaica has long been a colourful island, with a cultural mosaic of music and arts. The dramatic Blue Mountains stretch from one side to the other and the flowing rivers and deep valleys provide a spectacular vista.
The buildings echo its colonial past and several fine museums dot Jamaica’s landscape in which you can journey back through the centuries to the very beginnings of the island’s history and culture. Life does not get much better than a stay at Strawberry Hill up in the mountains, but if you want to venture out, Jamaica has a huge assortment of spectacular, world-famous beaches. The most popular are found along the north coast, stretching 150 miles from 7 Mile Beach in Negril over to Port Antonio in the north east.
