Luxury Spa Hotels in Antigua

Antigua is known as the "heart of the Caribbean." The tourist office boasts that there are 365 beaches, ‘one for every day of the year. These powdery white treasures, hidden coves and sweeping coastlines are the lure of the island and perfect for the more humble sun seeker, but there is also more than enough to keep the adventurer amused.

Antigua’s typically West Indian flavour is best captured in the capital, St. John. Home to over a third of the country’s population, it’s here that you can visit Heritage Quay and the less touristy Redcliffe Quay where shops, restaurants and old style Caribbean houses abound. The local Saturday morning market is also an experience not to be missed.

English harbour is the island's most famous landmark where you’ll find a rich array of historic sights, including Nelson’s Dockyard, an 18th Century British naval base, and Sandy Heights where some of the best views of the island can be witnessed.

Antigua may be closely linked with our own British history, but the lack of rainfall, heavenly beaches and delightful charm are just some of the differences that separate these two islands!
