Opened in July 2003, Dhoni Mighili is a completely new and refreshing concept in the Maldives. There are six luxuriously appointed fully air-conditioned Dhonis, each partnered with its own intimate Beach Bungalow with outdoor bathroom and waterfall showers. Every accommodation has a king-size bed with frette linen and goose down duvets, L’occitane products in the Phillip Stark bathrooms and natural furnishings. Dhoni Mighili’s philosophy is that it’s your island and you can eat anywhere and anytime that you want. The resident chef will create a personalised menu for you, or you can select exactly what you’d prefer from a choice of fresh ingredients. The bar is open 24-hours for you to help yourself to champagne or a fine wine – whichever takes your fancy.

The spa

The Sen Spa was founded on the Thai-inspired approach, which focuses on achieving vitality through movement and water.

The treatments are a holistic blend of Eastern and Western philosophies and are predominately focused on different forms of massage. Pampering is enhanced in a choice of beautifully designed treatment rooms, inspired by the shape of an egg to offer the feeling of wellbeing and protection. There is also the choice of an open-air treatment area, a traditional Maldivian resting place and even more of a treat is to enjoy a massage by candlelight at the edge of the ocean.
